  1. Running cross country is hard and exhausting, we had to ran around the field once, run to room 6, go past the flagpole, run out the main gate, run around the block, come in the little gate, run to room 6, go past the flagpole, run around the block, go up monument hill, come back down and into the big gate. Before I started running I felt a little nervous because I thought I would come last. While I was running I started to get slower and puffed and I wanted to give up but I kept going. After I finish running I felt sooo puffed that I wanted to faint, then I looked at all the 10 year olds and there was only 4 that had beaten me, I came 5th.

  3. Yesterday we did some energize exercise and we had to do loads of hard work. We were not aloud to stop until the music stopped. It is kind of like musical chairs but this one is fitness and much harder. It got us pumped up for our cross country practice . The whole school had to practice together as one and worked together. I think because of that big practice I will be okay for the finals.

  5. When I run cross country I feel tired. It feels like I’m running 1200 kilometers an hour. But I still try my best at the end. The best part I like is running down Monument Hill because I can run faster and faster downhill than uphill. Even if I come last I’m proud of myself.

  7. Yesterday we did the Energizer test. The first course was the hula hoops, we had to spin it around our waist. The other courses were ski jumps, running around the court, fast feet, skipping, then the last one was toe bounces. My favourite one was the hula hoop because you only have to stay in one spot and it is easy. To me that little course feels like cross country hard, fun, exhausting, tiring, but cool.

  8. When I run at cross country I give it my best because when I give it my best I know that I will get a 100% and I will keep on try to come first but when I run up the hill I find trouble. My legs feel like they are going to break.

  9. I love running cross country becuase when I am running I get a bit fitter and when I sweet I think It is good for me and I feel free. It is a true fact that if you run 8 kilometres per week you get fitter. If you give it 100% It becomes fun to run.

  11. Yesterday we had the energizer with one of the most kind fitness lady.
It was so fun. it made you tired but you're just have to carry on. The obstacles courses we had to do was sprinting on the spot , run around the outside of tawaraunui , hula hoops , skipping ropes , jumping up and down, jumping side to side over the line and pretending to be a frog and jumping. It was so cool but it makes you tired.

  13. Cross Country

Cross country was after morning tea. I like cross country because it’s so fun and tired sometimes. When I heard the nine year olds to run I shocked because I thought that I was gonna trip up when we first started. I thought that I would come last but I didn't come last I came after my brother and then Keisha arrived. I felt puffed because I had to run up monument hill and run around the block two times. I was in front of my brother but I slowed down and that’s how I came after him. I came 1st out of the nine year olds. It felt like my legs would fall apart.

  14. Ready steady go. I was running so fast that I was getting tired from running. I was in the lead with no one passing me. Unless it was a nine, eight or seven year old that past me. No ten years old passed me though. When I had my last lap around the block I was getting so tired but I still had to go up Monument Hill. Monument Hill is a big hill. We run up it and back down the big humagest hill. When I was at the top of Monument Hill I saw my teacher Mr v and he was crossing us across the road so then we were going to get run over. When we got to the end of the hill we saw the finish line. Then we had to cross another road. I ran so fast that I came first for practise cross country.

  15. When I run cross country I always get tied.

When they catch up to me I try to run faster but sometimes they pass me.

If I see someone hurt I will go and help the person then if we see a teacher we will go to her or him.

If I am tired I will sit down on the green grass and the older people will go up Monument Road then come back down. They have to go in the big gate then they have finished the track.
